According to Reuters, a person familiar with the matter said that Huawei plans to launch its own brand of electric vehicles; Huawei is negotiating with Changan Automobile and BAIC Blue Valley for OEM manufacturing.

Less than 15 minutes after the news was released, Huawei responded quickly, saying that the company’s strategy remained unchanged—Huawei does not build cars, focuses on ICT technology, becomes a supplier of incremental components for smart cars, and helps car companies build good cars.
