Description:
An early Stereoview card showing two Black American men standing in the middle of a pineapple field. The two men are wearing heavy gloves and hats and appear to be inspecting or possibly getting ready to gather the pineapples which are in the field. One of the men may have a knife in his hand, which is difficult to ascertain from the photo. The card is titled 13738-A Pineapple Field, Southern Florida. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Additional Information:
The reverse side show an extensive description of the scene in the image indicating that pine apples grow on the ground unlike regular apples which grow in trees. It also suggest that gathering pineapples is a difficult task and that people who gather them must protect themselves from the ;leaves which would cut through them because they are very stiff with sharp edges. It further discusses how they are harvested using a knife and put in a bag which carried on the shoulder of the man harvesting them.

Condition:
The card is clean with minor soiling, if any, and is sharp and very well defined. It does have a light yellowing along the edges of the back. This however does not distract from the beauty or quality of the image. The image itself has no damage and is in excellent condition. The card is curved as usual, but nothing to distract from its quality or great condition. Please see photos for additional condition information.
