Description

1890s-1900s Three Stereoview Photos with Beautiful Floral Designs. The first card shows a bouquet of flowers (produced by the London Stereoscopic Company.) The second shows a basket of flowers, and the third a wreath of flowers. The backs of all of the cards are blank, except the 3rd one, which states that it was photographed and published by the Kilburn Bros. in Littleton, New Hampshire. Stereoviews were very popular at that time and companies were constantly looking for new and different topics to photograph and produce. The stereoviews are in good to very good condition. The corners are a bit soft, there's a tiny amount of surface damage, but the edges are in good condition, showing just a bit of use. The backs each have a bit of light soiling. This three intriguing stereoviews are in good to very good condition. The corners are a bit soft, which is typical of these cards.  There is a tiny amount of surface damage, but he edges are in good condition, showing just a bit of use. The backs each have a bit of light soiling.

Although the research into 3D viewers and photos started back in the first part of the 1800's, the real heyday of the "modern" stereoview started when stereo-cameras became readily available to amateur photographers in the late 1800's.  And their popularity continued to the middle of the 1900's. It is thanks to these photographers, that we can take a 3-D look into another time … in this case, the beauty of flowers
